The first thing a person sees when they look at you is your face. Your face is like your identity card, and when people see you for the first time, they should be able to say, “OMG! She has such a flawless skin.”

But we understand that getting a beautiful skin can be expensive and time consuming. We also understand that you have to look your best this Valentine because of that special someone. What’s better than showing up to that date looking like an Egyptian goddess ? Nothing! That is why we’ll be serving you tips on how to get the perfect skin glow in natural ways and on a budget this season.

1. Honey

Honey is an incredible ingredient that can work wonders on your skin. Besides the fact that it’s a rich source of antioxidants & flavonoids, honey contains potent antibacterial properties that help keep bacterial and fungal infections, pimples and other skin infections or rashes at bay. When used on the face as a face mask, honey helps to moisturize the skin deeply and reduce wrinkles. It fights acne and pimples, brightens the skin complexion, gently exfoliates and does so much more.

2. Lemon

If you’re suffering from blackheads, pimples and other facial imperfections, this is for you. The anti-bacterial properties of lemon will help lighten dark spots, reduce tan and acne. Acne is caused by the clogging of pores resulting from exposure to dust and pollution. Lemon juice cleanses the pores to give you a healthy, glowing skin.

3. Turmeric

The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric work on your pores and are effective in soothing your skin. Turmeric is also known to reduce scarring and heal any kind of wound fast because of its antiseptic qualities. Mix a pinch of turmeric with one teaspoon of besan or gram flour. Apply it on the affected areas and let the paste dry for at least 25 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water.

4. Avocado

Avocado is highly rich in Vitamin E, oleic acid and other essential fatty acids. It makes your skin smooth and soft when eaten. Applying it on your skin also helps calm painful and red acne too. Make a puree out of a ripe avocado and use it as a skin softening mask all over your face or body just before a shower. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how soft and smooth your skin will look and feel.
