R ‘n’ b, soul, alternative rock and reggae artistes; Ruby Gyang, Clay, Immaculate and Oge kimono (Ras kimono’s daughter) stole the spotlight at Metro Fm 97.7’s FYNE1.0 concert which took place at the Muson centre on Tuesday, December 16.
The FYNE1.0 concert tagged ‘Flavours you’ll naturally enjoy’ is the first in its series that Metro FM hopes to present annually to its listeners and the general public. The concert which was hosted by Koffi da Guru, was action packed with all genres of music and comedy from; Laff Doctor, Emmy Gee, Ruby Gyang, Praiz, Timi Dakolo, MC Galaxy, Simi, Greek artiste Salvador Sango, Solo Urete, Falz, Godwin Strings, Olu Jazz, Rexx, Oge Kimono and lots more.
Speaking at the show, eccentric presenter and the radio station’s manager, Cordelia Okpei created awareness for ‘Couple’s Cruise’ one of its flavours events has brought together two couples in its past seasons. In addition, Cordelia stated that there will be a program event dedicated to women – the segment will also have an event tagged Queen’s Ball; a time to celebrate and pamper women.
Speaking to Happenings after her performance, alternative singer, Ruby Gyang said, “I got involved with this concert because Metro FM has always supported artistes, it doesn’t matter who you are. They have supported me throughout my career which was why when Cordelia called me I accepted immediately”. Ruby went further to say that the show exceeded her expectations, “I didn’t know it was this big”.
The concert was indeed big, fans have already begun looking forward to 2015 FYNE2.0’s All flavours concert.
