Lagos-based gospel singer, Joseph Okogo, on Wednesday said that inspiration abound everywhere from which any musician can tap.

Okogo, who is a member of the Infinity Gospel Band, popularly called ‘Olori Oko’, listed reality and experiences among areas where the group gets its inspiration from.

“There is inspiration everywhere as long as your mind is open to recognise it.

“We get inspired by realities and experiences on everything that God has made.

“Sometimes we see something happening in the society and it inspires us to compose a song.

“It can be injustice, pain or poverty that pervades the society.

“I remember we once composed a song that was inspired by hunger. We were hungry and from there, a song came out,’’.

“In nature and even in the bible, inspiration comes from everywhere,’’ the singer told NAN.

The gospel singer advised fans to work toward their dreams and should not give up if they want to be successful in life.

“Do not give up on your dreams; there is no dream that is too big regardless of the numerous challenges in Nigeria.

“Many people are still doing well.

“Keep striving to be your best, do not give up, you will get there,’’ he said. (NAN)
