“Furious 7” may have just crossed the $1 billion mark some days back, but the Fast and Furious Family is already revving up for more. Vin Diesel told a packed house of theater owners, journalists, exhibitioners and more at Las Vegas CinemaCon on Thursday (April 23) that the “Furious” franchise would indeed live on, and that the next film would be released on April 14, 2017.

Diesel also tearfully acknowledged his “brother upstairs” Paul Walker, and sincerely thanked CinemaCon’s crowd for making “Furious 7″ such a colossal, unprecedented hit.

Also at Universal’s CinemaCon presentation was the exciting news that the two previously announced “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequels, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed,” would hit theaters on February 10, 2017 and February 9, 2018 respectively.
