Victoria Kimani confirms Chocolate City exit

American-born Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani has announced her exit from Chocolate City, the record label headed by Jude Abaga, hip-hop artiste popularly known as MI.

The artiste made this announcement in an Instagram post where she revealed the recently released ‘Safari’ album is her last project with Chocolate City.

“Mann “these labels got me feelin independent! But still I keep pushing cuz greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world.
SAFARI is my last project with @choccitymusic Excited about what’s NEXT,” she wrote.

Kimani joins a list of artiste who have left the label in recent times including Ice Prince, Brymo, Pryse and Milli.

Kimani got signed to the record label in 2012, having gained the attention of the decision makers through a cover of Ice Prince’s continental hit song, Oleku.

In December, she released her first studio album, ‘Safari’, which is known as ‘journey’ in Swahili.
