Wole Soyinka Honoured in Stage Play “King Baabu” on 83rd Anniversary (Photos)

It was an evening to celebrate pure artistic splendour as the renowned group The Park Theatre Lagos Presented Prof. Wole Soyinka’s ” KING BAABU ” in honour of the veterans on his 83rd Birthday.

The play ‘King Baabu’ was performed on stage and was directed by Toyin Oshinaike, at an event which play took place at Freedom Park, Lagos Island last Sunday.

Several personalities, came out enmmasse  to watch the wonderful stage drama, some of whom are  Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Sarah Adebisi Sosan, Delegation from American Embassy, Eng. Monsur O. Emiabata, Tushbee, Mr Browne of Brownehill radio, Shimmers, The Cast members of Battleground, iRep Boss, Mr Femi Odugbemi (Grand Patron Park Theatre Lagos).

Others are, Chief Architect of Freedom Park/MD Total Consults, Theo Lawson (Grand Patron Park Theatre Lagos), Mr Toyin Akinosho Renowned Art Critic and CEO Africa Oil and Gas Magazine, Iyabo Aboaba, the Chief Operations Officer at Freedom Park (Grand Patroness Park Theatre Lagos), Tani and Ifeoma Fafunwa, Artistic Directors at iopenEye Productions Producers of Hear Word & Love and Recession, Bisi Adigun is the Irish based Nigerian theather Director.

Also in attendance were Ireland based Nigerian theatre director, Bisi Adigun, Keppy Ekpeyong, Veteran Screen and Stage actor, Jahman Anikulapo, Director at iRep, CORA AND LABAF(Grand Patron Park Theatre Lagos) Chris Iheuwa, Najite Dede ,Makinde Adeniran Chairman National Association of Nigerian Practitioners of Performing Arts (Lagos State Chapter), Seyi Fasuyi, Veteran Theatre Practitioner and many others.
