Award winning UK-Based Actress and Daughter of Igbara Kingdom, Princess Elizabeth Agbede Onanuga has been honoured with a chieftaincy title in Ireland, as the Yeye Meyegun Of Ireland.
This Royal embodiment was conferred on her on Sunday, the 5th of November 2017,during the Asa Wa Day and recognition award night. In attendance were many dignitaries, including the paramount ruler, HRM Saheed Olamilekan Ibrahim Adufe(ORI LOBAMISE1),
This honour is well deserved, judging by her immense effort to promote her motherland through the Nollywood Movie Industry. While in the United Kingdom, She has been seen as one who would do nothing that jeopardisesthe Yoruba Culture, both home and abroad.
Rather it her prerogative to uphold and glorify the prestigious culture of the Yoruba people.Princess Onanuga, has always been active and consistent in ensuring she educates and teach the Yoruba culture especially through her movies.
So far, she has produced more than six culturally rich movies, which according to her fans, has taught them several lessons.
Furthermore, an award was also given to her by the Oba, Saheed Olamilekan Ibrahim Adufe in appreciation of her dedication and continued support for Nigerians in the Republic of Ireland and her prominent contributions to the promotion of African Culture and Tradition for the Benefit of Humanity.
Furthermore,one of her anticipated Movie, ‘Boss Lady’ will be released On Monday, 20th of November, 2017 and it features Funsho Adeolu, Toyin Adewale, Mide Martins, Seyi Edun, Bukola Adeeyo and many more.
