Mr. 2kay deserved the assault – Fans

Isaac Oguntoye

If you’re familiar with happenings in the entertainment industry, then you must know that talented dancehall singer, Damini Ogiulu a.k.a Burna Boy is wanted by the police, for his alleged involvement in the robbery and assault of Mr. 2kay.

Despite the massive condemnation this scandal has garnered, there are those who believe David Abiye also known as Mr. 2kay deserved the manhandling he had received from Burna Boy’s henchmen.

Recall that the victim, Mr.2kay was attacked by four armed men, while he lodged in room 847 at the prestigious Eko Hotels, in Victoria Island, on October 22 2017.

The singer, who was beaten and tied up by these armed men, had allegedly lost his Audemars Piquet (AP) gold wristwatch valued at $25,000, gold jewelry valued at N1.5million, mobile phones, a pair of Adidas shoes, cash and perfumes to the thieves who had posed as hotel workers.

The armed men who carried out the attack, have been apprehended and that was made possible, when the police arrested one of their girlfriends, identified as ‘Matejero’.

While being interrogated, the robbers confessed to being hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock, who was also arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Well fans are in defense of their favorite singer.

According to one queenie_k_ who left a comment on Burna Boy’s instagram page, clearly it is her belief that Mr. 2kay deserved the assault, “how I wish he was beaten more because e be like say the beating no enter am well.”

Another fan bravo_priceless said F**K YOU ALL that made hate or stupid comments here… Are you saints… Fake ass people, enemy of progress.. Most of u are young doe. Burna is a suspect not a criminal and don’t judge afterall most of you are thief’s also or may have assaulted someone.. Saints don’t even judge or criticize.”
