What You Don’t Know About D’banj

It is no longer news that Dapo Daniel Oyebanji,a Nigeria pop star,popularly known as D’Banj lost his only one son, who just turned one in May. His late Son Daniel Oyebanji the third drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s Ikoyi residence. It is a time of mourning for the Oyebanjis.

However, Happenings learnt that this superstar has some hidden things that he has kept away from the prying eyes of fans and admirers.Our findings revealed that D’Banj worked as a security guard in London, before his big break in the Nigerian Music scene. He worked as a guard taking the nite shift in London when he got to the UK in 2001.

D’Banj planned to study Mechanical Engineering in London when he got there, however he suspended his education to do music, putting him in conflict with his father.

D’Banj’s first endorsement came in the wave of his first album, He was endorsed by the energy drink ‘Power First’. Also not many know but he is the first United Nigeria’s Youth Ambassador for peace and the founder of Koko foundation for youth and peace development.
