Fuji Penicure crooner,Love Idris Adisa in this interview with Akinyele Sokoya for Happenings, spoke about his South African experience, his contemporaries, why he encouraged his son to dump music for education among others.

Where have you been all this while? 

I travelled to South Africa,but I come to Nigeria if I have shows.It is not that I have relocated permanently there. I have a manager who works to get shows for me in diaspora.

Is your wife staying with you in South Africa? 

No, only my son is based there with me,and he left Nigeria to relocate to South Africa.

When did you start Fuji music?

I started in 1980 but before then,I have been going to shows.

Who are your contemporaries?

Lukman Ajao,Lolade,king of Saje,Muse Samurah among others.

What about Pasuma and Obesere?

I senior pasuma and Obesere,but my seniors are Wasiu Ayinde, Alhaji Love Azeez, Second Barrister, Fancy Aye Alamu, Shina Akanni and I  started at the same time.

Are any of your children into  music?

Yes,one of them them Ganiu Ijamode has been singing but I told him to get educated first but I will still support his music career in the future if that’s what he want to venture into.
