If the story at our disposal is anything to go by, then, veteran Yoruba comic-actor, Babatunde Omidina otherwise known as Baba Suwe is set to take Nigeria Drug And Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to court over his unpaid Twenty Five Million Naira (N25m) compensation.
Baba Suwe who cried out recently said he has not gotten a kobo from NDLEA and the case has practically been forgotten.
“NDLEA has not paid me N25m, I have never gotten a kobo from them. The case has practically been forgotten after my Lawyer Bamidele Aturu died. Recall that Baba Suwe was arrested at the Muritala Mohammed Airport in 2011 on the suspicion that he ingested cocaine wraps. During the encounter, he was detained for three weeks by the agency but no drugs was found on him. At that point, a Lagos High Court subsequently ordered NDLEA to pay the comic actor N25million for unlawfully detaining him and to also tender a public apology to him.
The Yoruba actor, Baba Suwe confided in someone that since these condition is yet to be met by NDLEA and his health condition has continued to suffer in the last year, he will take a further step to sue the agency.
As if that is not all, the veteran actor, Babatunde Omidina has said that he will release a movie detailing his 2011 experience with NDLEA.
