Summary

British-Nigerian Actor, John Boyega, despite efforts to woo him into investing in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry has set his sights for south Africa.

Report reaching us is that Hollywood actor John Boyega who recently came to his home country Nigeria to meet his family and Nollywood pioneers is set to produce a South African thriller.

Here I am, languidly sipping my orange juice and thinking how Mo Abudu, CEO of Ebonylife must feel. Recall she threw a party in her bid to convince John Boyega of how lucrative the Nigerian movie industry was and why he should invest in it.

Let’s not get started on Debola Lagos, the part owner of RED TV who had a closed-door meeting with the actor, discussing God knows what. But I am guessing it must be a part of his efforts to convince Boyega to invest in Nigerian media?

I can only imagine the look on Omoni Oboli’s face, clearly her efforts to cozy up to the young actor, while calling him her ‘Bestie’ yielded no fruit.

LMAO!

That John Boyega would dash the hopes of these Nigerian Media giants and move all the way to South Africa to produce a thriller, leaves me with only (Hmmmn….)

John Boyega is set to executive produce this South African crime thriller titled ‘God Is Good’ and he will also oversee the movie’s soundtrack through his record label which he launched recently - UpperRoom Records Label.

Although, John is recently shooting ‘Star Wars IX’ he is more than thrilled to work on an African story which depicts the theme of fatherhood and he will also work with local talents from South Africa as well.

I can’t be the only one anticipating this South African thriller and what Nigerians have to say about this collaboration.
