Nollywood star, Ramsey Nouah, has earned himself a place in spotlight once again, as he leads the pack of nominations for the 2020 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Ramsey Nouah had four nominations, among the nominees ahead of the AMVCA which will hold on a later date.
He was nominated as the Best Actor in Drama Category for his role in the movie 'Levi', Best Actor Comedy category with his role in 'Merry Men 1', Best Supporting Actor Drama category with his role in 'Living in Bondage', and his directorial role in 'Living in Bondage’ also got nominated in the Best Director category.
He is followed closely by popular movie star, Toyin Abraham, who got for herself three nominations.
Her role in the movie ‘Elevator Baby’ as Best Actress in a Drama category got her a nomination, while her two other nominations came in the Best Actress in a Comedy category with her role in the ‘Bling Lagosians’ and ‘Kasanova’.
Actress Zainab Balogun and Funke Akindele are next with two nominations each.
Balogun’s nominations came in the Best Actress in a Drama category with her roles in the movies ‘Sylvia’ and ‘God Calling’, while Akindele’s grabbed nominations in Best Television Series Drama for her ‘Jenifa's Diary’ series and Best Actress in a Comedy with her role in ‘Moms At War’.
The 2019 hit, ‘Living in Bondage’ was nominated in 10 categories, which is the highest of any movie.
