It has been an exciting and intriguing season in the music industry, and with that, we bring to you some of the most played songs in Nigeria in the year 2019 till date, in no particular order.

1. Bolanle (Zlatan Ibile)

The track, titled “Bolanle”, was sung by popular Nigerian rapper and singer, Zlatan, which features IVD, a popular car dealer on Instagram. The duo released the track which has now become a popular tune in Nigeria and beyond.

2. Beginning (Joeboy)

Famous singer, Joeboy, came through with the track, “Beginning”, after the release of his previous single, “Baby.” The song seems to be here to stay, as it is still doing well on streams and online stores.

3. Jealous ( Fireboy DML)

“Jealous” by YBNL’s talented singer, Fireboy DML, is one of the hottest tracks trending in the Nigerian music industry. The song was also well-received by the Nigerian music community in 2019 and is still making waves.

4. Totori (Id Cabasa Ft Olamide & Wizkid)

This is a song that you would certainly have heard in every nook and cranny of the country. Olamide and Wizkid have been best known for dropping hit songs and this is not an exception.

5. Anybody (Burna Boy)

Burna Boy dropped this jam sometime in June 2019 and it instantly became the new rave on the streets and on air.

6. Shotan (Tiwa Savage)

The best performing Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Zlatan, teamed up with female singer, Tiwa Savage, on this track.

7. I Cant Kill Myself (Timaya)

Timaya, aka Papichulo, dropped this amazing track, “I can't kill myself”, in 2019 and it has received a lot of applause on social media, even featuring in comedy skits and videos.

8. Ghetto Love (Wizkid)

Wizkid dished out his most anticipated song, “Ghetto Love”, which came as his first single in 2019.

9. Baby (Joeboy)

Banku singer kicked off the year 2019 with this tune. With nice lyrics and a good video, the song has found its way into the hearts of Nigerians.

10. Gum Body (Burna Boy Ft Jorja Smith)

This song was off the “African Giant” album by Burna Boy where he featured American singer, Jorja Smith.

11. Pawon (Olamide)

Olamide released a brand new song, “Pawon”, which was produced by Cracker. This jam rocked Instagram with a lot of alluring videos.

12. Puta (Naira Marley)

One of Nigeria’s most controversial yet chart-topping artistes, Naira Marley, came through with this track in 2019. It has since been a hit, as it has been on various charts and musical platforms.
