Popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi, recently got Nigerians talking on all social media platforms after a video of her dancing went viral.
In the video, the singer was showing off her dance steps which some people termed as worldly.
A number of people criticised her dance steps as they could not think of it as a good manner from a gospel singer.
However, Tope Alabi’s husband, Soji Alabi, has reacted to the criticism his wife has received for the video.
Speaking in defence of his wife, Soji, in a phone call interview with Celebrity Diary said that his wife did nothing wrong by dancing the way she did.
In his words:
“People should not just believe things without finding out the reasons. That video was definitely recorded at the wake keep service of my wife’s late father. As somebody who just lost her father, she was just trying to dance away the tears and she just expressed herself. Nobody saw her when she was crying, but now they are against her for dancing?
“The wake keep was organized by some gospel artists and it was held in front of her late father’s house. Somebody must have recorded the video and sent it online for reasons best known to only God. My wife has done nothing wrong please.”
