No fewer than 400 women in Ifako-Ijaiye constituency were empowered in a week of vocational training.
Under the Hon Fatee Aduke Mohammed Foundation designed to engender mainstreaming in the development in the community.
The programme kicked off on Monday, October 22, and ended today, Friday, October 26, 2018.
It had over 400 women from different background, religious affiliations and tribes engaged in vocational training.
Such as Cakes making, paint making, small chops making, Tomato paste making, coconut oil making, make ups, candle production and gele tying.
She also donated beds, Gas cylinder, Gas Burner, dryers, stoves and blinders. Other items donated were head pans, hand dryers, coolers, warmers, micro waves and cash gifts.
Fatee Mohammed in her speech commended the residents for the massive turn-out for the training and assured them of more commitment to their welfare.
Hon Fatee Mohammed posited further that women empowerment remains a key development agenda for her people.
She noted that it would increase women’s access to economic opportunities and a better life which ultimately can help abate significantly,poverty in the society.
“We had this similar empowerment some time in March this year, we will continue with the exercise yearly until my people are fully engaged with one skill or the other”Fatee Muhammed added
Also commenting on the giant stride of Hon Fatee Mohammed, Oba Oluwa Lanmbe the Oba of Ojokoro land.
Thus he passed a vote of confidence on the politician. Noting that Fatee Muhammed would do well if voted into the office in 2019.
Royal fathers from neighbouring communities and PDP members from the state level were also part of the event.
