The theme of the second edition of the Strong Tender and Empowered Women’s Summit, which held yesterday, was ‘Dream. Achieve. Change’
In commemoration of the International Women's Day, the Lagos State chapter of Nigerian Institute Of Public Relations (NIPR) held the second edition of the Strong Tender and Empowered Women’s Summit (STEWS) on Friday, March 8th, 2019.
The event, themed “Dream. Achieve. Change”, was held at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, and was attended by notable women in the Public Relations sector. They spoke about their humble beginnings, the challenges they faced in the industry as women and how they were able to overcome them.
Ebelechuwkwu Nwachukwu, who is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NSIA Insurance Limited, was the Special Guest of Honour.
In her opening remarks, she stated that she made her way to the top in an industry dominated by men through hard work and determination. She then encouraged women never to give up on their dreams.
Other notable women in attendance were Lynda Onafeli Chairman, Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter.
