The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu paid an unscheduled visit to the General Hospital in Marina, Lagos on Sunday (Oct. 6, 2019).
This according to him was part of his commitment to ensure adequate and sustainable healthcare for Lagosians. His impromptu visit to the General Hospital in Marina was to ensure the Governor has a first-hand exprerience of the hospital and medical facilities.
The governor's unscheduled visit was a welcome surprise for hospital personnel and patients alike. Sannwo-Olu interacted with patients and advised them to dutifully follow the medical directions of doctors.
He also magnanimously paid the hospital bills of some patients in the emergency care units.
Governor Sanwo-Olu pledged his government's continued support for the health sector. According to him, his administration will not rest until it achieved the universal health coverage even before the set date of 2025!
