Believe it or not, sneakers are the new fleek! At every turn, women are substituting their Jimmy Choos for converse and sneakers and I for one am loving it. There’s nothing more fashionable than comfy-meets-chic, but but but, this can be tricky to pull off.
When pairing a dress with sneakers, the length and style of the dress should be taken into consideration as not all sneakers can match up all types of dresses. The trick is- for slim fitted dresses, to match them with lighter style sneakers so that the shoes don’t disturb the outfit.
When wearing full skirts and frou frous, thicker soles will flatter them and balance out the proportions. Also, you could match up printed sneakers with your outfits, coordinate the colours, mix and match and have fun with it.
When pairing sneakers with long dresses, the same rules apply. Wearing a form fitting long dress, first tip is to coordinate and match the colours and wear lighter style sneakers that are easier on the eye and won’t bulk up your frame.
This could have been better, if the shoes were lighter and not not as high on the ankles.
But when pairing with flared out silhouette dress, go playful with either light or thick soled sneakers.
The key is fitting. Try getting a critical eye for fashion. If you put it on and it keeps distracting and doesn’t merge in one flow, then it’s best to take it off. In the end, it’s fashion, have fun with it. Sneakers are back guys! Get creative, the best looks can happen by accident.
Would you rock?
