Emeka Ojukwu Leaves Fathers Shadow, Defects From APGA to APC

The highly revered leader of the igbo and Biafran warlord, late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, before his death founded a political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), to carry on the torch, in fighting the course of the south easterners.

Surprisingly, as the race to the Anambra state election gathers momentum, the first son of the hero of the igbo race, Emeka Ojukwu Jnr, on Tuesday, dumped APGA and defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Ojukwu jnr defected to APC in Awka, at the grand finale campaign of the APC candidate Dr. Tony Nwoye, for the Anambra 2017 governorship election.

Those present to receive him into the party were, President Buhari, APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, 12 APC governors, National Assembly members in the party, among others.

Ojukwu jnr who was dressed in an APC attire, said “It is time to leave the shadows for light. Every now and then, they come out with my father’s shadow to confuse the people,” he said.

According to him, APGA is a means to an end but not an end itself.
