Google Honours Late Chinua Achebe on 86th Birthday

Tech giants Google are currently honouring Nigeria’s literary giant, Late Chinua Achebe, as an important figure of the 20th century literature
The honour is in form of a Google Doodle which will run throughout today on the world’s largest search engine.
A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepage that is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.
The doodle is marking what would have been Achebe’s 86th birthday today, November 16.
Achebe, who was one of Nigeria’s finest authors died in March of 2013 at the age of 82.
He was a celebrated name in the world of literature both home and abroad, having collected accolades that included the Man Booker International Prize, St. Louis Literary Award and the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade.
