PMB Join CAN To Mourn Death Of General Secretary, Musa Asake

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have described the death of its General Secretary Rev Dr. Musa Asake not just as a loss for the Christianity, but a colossal loss for the entity called Nigeria.

Rev Dr. Asake, aged 66, passed away today, 11 May, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born on 15th September, 1952, Ung/Rimi Bajju- Kafanchan in Zango Kataf Local Government Council.

President Muhammadu Buhari also condoled with the national leadership of the CAN in a statement issued by Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Friday.

President Buhari, while commiserating with the family of the late Reverend, the President prayed that almighty God would comfort all those who mourned the departed, and grant his soul eternal rest.

Confirming the death was the Special Assistant, on Media & Communications to the CAN President, His Eminence, Rev Dr. Samson Olasupo A. Ayokunle, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, described the death as sad, cruel and unfortunate.

said that leadership of CAN have since thrown into mourning since the news of his demise.

According to him, his last official assignment was the Press Conference he addressed few days ago, on the incessant killings in the country where CAN called on Christians to embark on a peaceful protest with a view to waking up the Federal Government and the security agencies to their constitutional responsibilities.
