American comedian and actor, Kevin Hart, has surprised many by promising to support the Nigerian pencil artist who drew him, Eli Waduba
Social media is abuzz with news of Kevin Hart's pledge to support a young talented Nigerian pencil artist, Eli Waduba Yusuf, who shared his drawing of the comedian on Twitter.
Yusuf, who is known for his hyperreal pencil artworks, shared the image on Monday and solicited for retweets from his followers.
"My name is Eli Waduba Yusuf. Am a Nigerian, based in Kaduna. Am a hyperrealism PENCIL Artist, I hope to become like @Harinzeyart. Please, Retweet, let @KevinHart4real see it, thank you," Eli wrote.
The American actor and comedian eventually saw the artwork and was impressed. He then asked to buy it while also offering to support the artist with more jobs.
He wrote of the masterpiece: "I see it and I want to purchase it...I also want to support you and your amazing talent by giving you a fee to do a pencil drawing of 3 of my celebrity friends that I can gift it to. DM your info and let’s get to work!"
The kind gesture by the actor has been hailed by many on social media, including Funmi Iyanda.
