Popular writer and lawyer, Reno Omokri, has shared his opinion on two of Nigeria's iconic writers, Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka.

The self-acclaimed 'Buhari tormentor' has chosen Achebe as his preferred writer over the professor who is the only Nigerian to win a Nobel Prize for Literature.

Reno, who doesn't understand how Achebe wasn't awarded a Nobel prize before his demise, tipped the “Things Fall Apart” author as the superior of both men.

"Between Chinua Achebe and Professor Wole Soyinka, I would give the @NobelPrize for literature to Achebe 100 times out of 100 times. I still don’t understand how Soyinka got it and Achebe did not. I read their books. Achebe’s works are by far the more superior works of literature," he wrote on Twitter.

While his thoughts were echoed by many as apt, there were others who didn't see a need for the comparison.

Some others were also quick to come at him as being tribalistic but Reno had a response for them as they came in their numbers.
