Nigerian musician, Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday in Lagos.

The artist, who has been in the public eye recently for his support of cybercrime aka 'yahoo yahoo' in the country, was arrested this morning and is currently being questioned.

Marley has also received some backlash from some of the more established names in the music and entertainment industry, with Simi and more recently Ruggedman publicly criticizing the fast-rising star.

Ruggedman called him a fraudster in a street interview with HipTV, which resulted in the 'Issa Goal' crooner bashing the Afro Hip Hop legend in an Instagram live video.

Naira Marley also, in a recent Instagram live session, urged Nigerians to pray for Internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys), as they are the reason money is in circulation to the common man.

And following the controversy surrounding him and the Yahoo boy debate, he seized the opportunity to release a hit track titled "Am I a Yahoo Boy" where he features another controversial figure, Zlatan.

The song is currently receiving lots of streams on the Internet and massive download across the country.

His arrest would come as a shock to many, especially as he has been crossing the line with his 'fraud advocacy'.
