Nigerian writer, Lola Shoneyin, has reacted angrily to a video that was shared online of the owner of Coscharis motors, Cosmas Maduka, preaching on the street.
Ovation magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, had shared the video on his Twitter timeline as he praised the billionaire for doing God's work despite his status.
Momodu had captioned the video: "This is the President and CEO of Coscharis Motors, Mr. COSMAS MADUKA, a billionaire, doing the service of God through evangelism... God bless you more and more..."
But Shoneyin who is also a director was far from impressed as she claims the billionaire was only causing more pollution in an already polluted area.
Lola quoted Dele Momodu's post and wrote: "Billionaire or busboy, noise pollution is a huge problem in Nigeria."
Her comments have since drawn mixed reactions from both the religious and none religious on social media; with the lots of irreligious folks agreeing that he wouldn't be allowed to do such a thing in more 'saner' climes, the religious ones have suggested that her reaction was just an expression of envy.
