Audu Umar, who has been arrested by the Police in Niger State for killing his neighbour, Abubakar Muhammadu, has revealed that he has no regrets over his action.

The suspect ended the life of his neighbour because he allegedly made advances to his wife after doing the same to other women in the community.

Audu claims he warned Muhammadu severally to stay off his wife, Hassana Audu, but he refused and continued 'toasting' her.

This provoked him and made him attack the deceased with a machete, inflicting deep cuts on his head which caused his death.

Currently, in the custody of the Niger State Police Command, Umar is remorseless as he insists he is ready to face the wrath of the law.

“I do not regret killing him because Mohammadu decided to die like a chicken. In his next world, he will not make advances to married women in this village," he is reported to have said, according to ‘The Nation.’

“I am ready to bear the consequences, so let the law take its cause. I am fulfilled Mohammadu will never see my wife again, Allah will judge him.”

Both Audu and the late Muhammadu are from Wawa village in New- Bussa in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mohammad Abubakar, said that the matter is still under investigation and Audu would be charged to court when they are done.
