The officers of the Federal SARS who assaulted popular Rivers State On Air Personality, Kofi Bartels, have been identified and arrested by the state police command, according to reports online.
Bartels, a prominent voice on talk, news and sports radio station, Nigeria Info, Port Harcourt, was taken hostage and beaten mercilessly by SARS operatives on Tuesday just because he tried help a young boy who was being arrested unjustly.
Although he has been released "unconditionally" after a former SARS boss intervened, the media personality has been left with unbearable pain in his joints and head.
The police complaint response unit had earlier today acknowledged receipt of his complaints on Twitter, while promising to initiate investigation into the matter.
However, if reports online are anything to go by, it seems the police have acted swiftly in tracking and arresting the defaulting officers, according to online news outlet, BelieveAll.
The police public relations office is yet to put out any comment confirming or denying the tweet.
