A Nigerian man, identified as Jeffery Ewohime, destroyed over seven cars, at a Nigerian Embassy in London. Reports from london confirms that Mr Jeffrey Ehohime has now been arrested by the police in London and confined in a state jail.

Muhammed Babandede, the Comptroller General of Immigration Service narrated the incident in a statement on Monday night. According to him, Ewohime arrived the Nigerian embassy in London for passport services.

He said, "He arrived late and was told by the Security that the Mission has closed for the day. He went about destroying Nigeria's diplomatic vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of taxpayers money. The passport in question has been issued since 6th of June 2019. He did not leave any self-addressed envelope for delivery."

The Chairman, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission [NIDCOM], Mrs Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement made by her media aide, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, condemned the attitude of the Nigerian man, Jefrrey. She said such an attitude was "unpatriotic and an act of indiscipline."

Madam Abike onfirmed she received a report from the Nigerian Embassy in London on Monday, in detailed information.

She said, “He had approached the embassy to collect his passport which expired since November 2017 at about 2 p.m. and was told collection of passports would close at 1 p.m. He then insisted on collecting his passport, and was told to bring his collection slip which he could not produce.”

The NIDCOM Boss confirmed it would be wrong to hand over his passport to him without his collection slip.

She continued: "Jeffrey Emohime however left the embassy furious but returned much later to destroy about seven cars, five belonging to the mission, and two to visitors who parked nearby. He attempted to destroy the high commissioner's car but failed as it is bulletproof. I am told that he has been arrested by the police. He destroyed seven brand new cars except the ambassador's car which is bullet proof."

She further warned: “This is a despicable act, which must be condemned by all. Of course, the law must take its course."
