Wife of embattled COZA senior pastor, Modele Fatoyinbo has taken sides with her husband, Biodun Fatoyinbo after he was accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo.
There's been lots of criticism against the pastor since the interview granted by Busola to YNaija first surfaced on Friday.
And on morning, a mammoth crowd gathered at both the Abuja and Lagos branches of the church to protest against the pastor as they demand that he steps down from his position as senior pastor.
During the service in Abuja, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo announced that the “Seven Days of Glory,” a yearly church program had been suspended based on the directives of the “Holy Spirit” while the allegations against him are investigated.
Another reason he gave was that he didn’t want to put the guest preachers through the stress of coming to COZA amid such allegations of rape.
During the same service, his wife, Pastor Omodele Fatoyinbo, confidently stated that it was impossible for her husband to have raped Busola or anyone else.
She said to the congregation: “My husband is not a rapist. Even if he was an unbeliever, he would not be a rapist,” before her husband cut her short and said that: “the elders are handling the matter.”
Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo denied the rape accusations against him on Friday with a statement that was shared on his verified social media pages.
