Embattled senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo today at a Church service in Abuja addressed his congregation about rape allegations and protests against him.
The preacher who has been accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo who revealed in an interview on Friday that she was raped at the age of 16 by the 'man of God'.
Busola claims she was defiled by the popular pastor, first in her father's house and then a second time, on his car bonnet in a secluded place.
Although Biodun Fatoyinbo has denied the allegations, many Nigerians are asking him to step down from his position as senior pastor of COZA while the investigations are on.
His failure to put out a statement announcing that he has stepped down as the leader of the church has infuriated many Nigerians who took to the Church premises in Abuja and Lagos to stage a protest.
Happenings were live at the church premises in Ikeja, Lagos where hundreds of Nigerians came out to protest as the same activism was going on in Abuja.
In Abuja, there was reportedly no sermon preached as both Biodun Fatoyinbo and his wife Modele addressed the issue, warning members not to respond or be violent with protesters on their way out of the church.
