The 'Zanku' crooner, Zlatan Ibile, has come under attack for failing to make good on his promise after pledging the sum of N1 million in a giveaway to his fans on Friday night.
According to him, the giveaway was going to be used as a promotion for his new single with the African music diva, Tiwa Savage, titled 'Shotan'.
On Saturday morning, Zlatan claimed his first bank app was no longer working and he could not share the money with his fans. Twitter followers patiently waited for the singer to fulfill his promise.
Videos of the music star mocking Twitter fans that waited all night for his giveaway soon emerged, and Nigerian Twitter users reacted by starting the trend "ZlatanIsAScam” on the platform to call out the singer for mocking them.
Moments after the hashtag became a trend on Twitter, the singer returned to the platform to give away 250,000 naira to some lucky fans while lamenting on how ungrateful some fans were. Some stood by him, others claimed if he was not dragged, he would not have made good on his promise.
