The notorious terrorist sect, Boko Haram, attacked the Nganzai area of Borno State on Monday night.
At least, three civilians were confirmed dead and two others injured in the attack.
The terrorists were said to have stormed a remote village, Mallam Kaleri, near Gajiganna in Nganzai Local Government Area (LGA). They opened fire on the villagers, shooting sporadically at people as they scampered.
The insurgents, according to reports, raided the town and made away with a lot of food items and livestock, injuring two women in the process and killing three.
“The insurgents attacked villagers yesterday (Monday) night at Mallam Kaleri Village near Gajiganna,” a source told newsmen.
“Three persons lost their lives and they have been buried while two women were left injured.”
