A man’s decision to propose to his girlfriend in KFC has fetched him a round of applause on social media.
Many South Africans, top corporate organisations, including KFCSA, Audio South Africa and some top entertainers have offered to pay for the man’s wedding.
In a video making the rounds on Twitter and other social platforms, the man got down on one knee asking for his lady’s hand in marriage. The two were surrounded by KFC customers in a happy mood.
KFC South Africa reposted the video asking the public to help them identify the couple.
“Please help us find this beautiful couple,” the Twitter account posted on Thursday. “DM us any leads, there might be a Finger Lickin' Good surprise in it for you too … We love love.”
A few hours later, KFC identified the couple as Hector and Nonhlanhla.
A Twitter user, Kateka Malobola, who posted the original video, tweeted:
“It’s not even about the video, it’s about love. The man ... I’m not as brave as he is. He went down on one knee in front of everybody at KFC. Everybody came running from outside that heard the screams from the cashiers and the patrons ... it’s genuine love.”
Perhaps you should consider a proposal in KFC. You could be as lucky as this couple.
