The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly neutralised more Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) leaders and destroyed their meeting point at Jubillaram, in the Northern part of Borno State.

The attack, according to reports, occurred after an emergency tip-off from military sources.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, made this known to newsmen in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.

He explained that the operation was conducted on Tuesday by the Air Task Force (ATF), affiliated with the Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

"The operation was executed yesterday, Nov. 19, sequel to intelligence reports indicating that some top ISWAP leaders had assembled for a meeting at a compound within the settlement, which they also used to store some of their logistics supplies.

"Accordingly, the ATF dispatched a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform as well as fighter jets to attack the location," Daramola stated.

This attack is the second major successful attack in the Nothern part of Borno State in one week. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has contributed immensely to the ongoing battle between the country and Boko Haram insurgents.
