“I’m Not A Yahoo Boy,” Mompha Declares After His Release

Instagram big boy, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known on social media as Mompha, celebrated his release from EFCC’s custody, as he went live on Instagram.

The self-acclaimed Dubai-based bureau de change operator regained his freedom on Tuesday after fulfilling his bail conditions on Monday, December 9th.

Following his release from the custody of the anti-graft agency, the socialite who had previously shut down his Instagram account returned to the platform in a live video.

In the live video, Mompha is seen celebrating his freedom with some friends as he chants "I'm not a Yahoo boy" repeatedly, while Naira Marley’s ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ song plays in the background.

Recall, that Mompha was arrested and arraigned in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 14 count charges, bordering on fraud, money laundering, and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The court granted him a N100m bail on Friday, November 29th.
