Notorious Kidnapper Turns Himself In

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule, has announced that a notorious kidnapper who has been operating in the state, identified as Buju Bazamfare, has voluntarily surrendered himself to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The governor, who disclosed this when he visited the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, noted that the kidnapper also surrendered all the ammunition in his possession.

The elated governor went on to commend the Nassarawa State police for ensuring that peace and harmony reigns.

The governor described the situation as a huge feat and improvement towards reducing criminal activities in the state.

Governor Sule went on to salute the inspector General of Police (IGP) for all the support he continues to give the state.

In his response, the IGP, Inspector Adamu, disclosed that a security summit for the North Central zone has been scheduled to hold in Lafia on 22nd January. He stressed that stakeholders will be coming together to discuss and identify different problems which are associated with security in the northern region.

The IGP explained that the summit is a preparatory process to help deploy the community with suitable policies for the year. He also explained that the community policing will not be a regional initiative, but state-based.
