Suicider Bomber Caught Inside Winners Chapel Church

Living Faith Church, best known nationwide as Winners Chapel, has made an early interception to stop the bombing of one of their churches in Kaduna.

One of the branches of the Popular church which is founded by Bishop Oyedepo was sent panicking after a suspected suicide bomber sneaked into the church on Sunday Morning.

The suspect identified as Nathaniel Samuel gained access to the church which is located at Sabon Tasha area of Kaduna metropolis, through the security at the auditorium before he was eventually arrested.

Nathaniel concealed an automatic explosive device (IED) in his bag, according to Ekpenyong Edet, Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the church.

He added that the suspect was monitored on Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) before he was subsequently arrested.

The CSO said,

“He successfully gained access and was seated in the auditorium before he was suspected and the bag searched, only to find the explosive device.”

Edet, however, added that the suspect had been handed over to the police and moved to the police station.

The Spokesman of the Kaduna Police Command, Yakubu Sabo, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect is currently undergoing interrogation.

”Today 02/02/2020 at about 0930hrs, One Nathaniel Samuel ‘M’ of Maraban Damishi via Maraban Rido in Chikun L.G.A was arrested by the Police inside Living Faith Church at Sabon Tasha while the Church service was in session with some suspected Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) contained in a bag,

“The suspect is currently being interrogated at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department was said to have left the bag on the church’s seat and went into a restroom for over an hour. Efforts are on to apprehend his accomplices,” the statement reads.
