At the unveiling of a book titled, ‘Father’s Will’, which was written by a 12-year-old sensational writer, Munachi Mbonu, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was among the distinguished personalities in attendance of the event.
The 12-year-old author has previously authored two books titled “Concealed” and “Chidubem.” Her latest masterpiece is a story which was constructed with science fiction. It tells a story of a super cop, “the main character,” who demonstrates innate powers in a bid to solve earth-shattering cases.
The Governor of Lagos, who spoke during the launch of the novel, heaped praises on the teenage author while encouraging her not to relent in her efforts as a budding writer. The Governor claimed he was impressed by the book and in awe by the age of the writer.
“Munachi is no doubt on a path to greatness. She has defined her path and I must say without a doubt that the sky’s her limit,” the governor said.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Abba Kyari, who was also in attendance, claimed he was inspired by the latest publication, ‘Father’s Will’, and was full of praise for the author.
He said, “If we start encouraging young ones like this, the brain drain will become a thing of the past. Crime will reduce drastically as the young ones become more purposeful and aim for their personal growth”
