Cannabis Farm Discovered In A Secondary School In Anambra

A cannabis farm has been discovered in Anambra by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). It was said to have been hidden in a vegetable farm in a school compound located in the state.

Amobi Okafor, aged 45, the owner of the farm inside Lake City Secondary School in Nri community, was arrested initially for allegedly macheting the security guard in the school during an argument before the discovery.

Exhibits, including a machete, Indian hemp, and other incriminating items, were recovered from the suspect.

“The suspect confessed to the crime and took the NSCDC officers to the location, behind the school, where he grows the cannabis on a daily basis,” Mr David Bille, a commandant of the NSCDC in Anambra, stated.

It was disclosed that Amobi would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
