The Lagos State Governnent on Friday arrested and arraigned notorious land grabbing kingpin Kamorudeen Lamina aka Sir K Oluwaseyi and his land grabbing hench men. This syndicate is known for forcefully disposessing residents of their landed property.
Sir K is charged with a six -count charge by the special Anti-Land Grabbing Task Force set up by the Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and his land grabbing foot soldiers, all six of them are not left out the of the task force round up. They are, Omotola Ogunsanmi, Samson Shobule (aka Samson Salau), Billaminu Ortega (aka Biliaminu Salau), Jimoh Aromasodu, Wasiu Orenuga and Nurudeen Kasali.
Lamina according to counts 1 and 2, is said to have sometime in February 2017, forcefully dispossessed one Mrs Ebere Okafor of her plot of land in Mowo Kekere area of Ikorodu LGA. According to reports, the land is said to have been sold to Mrs Okafor by Ifegbuwa family. He is also accused of forcefully taking over and remaining in possession of 200 plots of land in Mowo Kekere belonging to Planet Properties LTD.
In count five, the defendants also fraudulently sold 60 hectares of land which had been previously sold by the rightful owner. The fraudulent sale, which was allegedly carried out in January 2017, is made possible by the dishonest claims by the defendants of being a part of the Ifegbuwa family.
In count six, the defendants are accused of illegally selling 25 hectares of land to third parties which is an offence punishable under the Lagos state law. They plead not guilty to these charges.
In his ruling, Magistrate Lateef Owolabi granted bail to the defendants in the sum of one million naira and two sureties in like sum. This case is adjourned to July 13.
