Femi Aderibigbe popularly known as kwame, is an ace broadcaster and entertainment entrepreneur. Kwame came to spotlight with his popular hip-hop TV show ‘Nigezie’.

The dark skinned kwame, started as a radio presenter before moving into television production.  learnt that his popular night club business located around College road, Ogba Ikeja, Lagos, has been shut down without signs that the building will reopen for business anytime soon.

It will be recalled that the club premises formerly housed a telecommunications company and was later abandoned, after which sensational Kwame bought it over and turned it into a night club, which was the toast of night life lovers in its glory days.

When the news first broke that the popular voice over act, who is also the owner of Orisun-TV, a channel on Star Times cable is delving into club business, everyone assumed he must have done his feasibility studies to know the threats and the opportunities in it, because all the businesses he created before now, flourished.

Within few months of opening, the place became one of the clubs with the best facilities in the area, competing with notable clubs in Ikeja and on the Island,  where one can experience amazing wild night life without hindrance.

Surprisingly, two years after opening, the business is allegedly dead, according to inside sources.

Though, some attributed this new development to the situation of the country while some are speculating that the business is not bringing enough cash as expected and as a businessman whose hand is tied to other businesses, the best he could do was to shut it down, which he did. scooped that, the signboards placed in front of the building that housed Uptown Club has been removed and no staff or customer is seen around the vicinity.
