Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, according to sources, has endorsed his son in-law, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja for the Chairmanship seat of PDP.
Prof. Adedoja, the former Minister of Sports is one of the South West chieftains of PDP who has signified his intention to be the national chairman of the party. He recently paid homage to the former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta house in Ogun State for his endorsement.
However, news reaching Happenings.com.ng revealed that Bamanga Tukur has been making covert moves in ensuring that Adedoja emerges the chairman of the party. He is said to be using his connections within the PDP, in order to deliver the position to Prof. Adedoja, even as his daughter is reportedly mounting pressure on him, that her husband must clinch the coveted position.
Jemila, Bamanga Tukur’s daughter got married to Prof. Adedoja recently in Abuja, in a well attended wedding ceremony.
This will be a second attempt at marriage by Prof. Adedoja and Jemila Tukur. While Jemila’s first marriage crashed over irreconcilable differences, Prof. Adedoja lost his first wife to the cold hands of death.
