Music Star, Omawunmi Reveals: ‘I still buy ‘Bend Down Select Cloth’


Talented songstress, Omawunmi, has reacted to reports insinuating that she still buys used clothes, known as “Okrika”. In her reaction to the question; ‘Have you ever bought ‘okrika’ before?’ posted by a fan, the mother of two answered “I still dey buy… it is called vintage’. In another breathe, the singer who was commended by fans for being realistic and not pretending to be superior, noted that ‘Okrika’ is a name of a town, and also asked if one cannot post a comment without having issues afterward.

Known for her outspoken nature, the mother of two has released the video of ‘Something’ from her recent album, ‘Timeless’. The Warri, Delta State born Omawunmi has been on the rise after she ended up becoming the 1st Runner-Up of Idols West Africa.

In 2008 she released her debut single In The Music a kwaito based sound which she fused with pidgin English. In 2009 Omawunmi released her album Wonderwoman, with hit songs like ‘Ma Fi Mi Shere’ featuring Eldee, The Don, Chocolata featuring Naeto C and Today Na Today.

Omawunmi is also a Ghost song writer and vocalist of many top notch theme songs for large corporations. Omawunmi acts in stage plays, in theatres and she has been associating with Non-Governmental Organisations like Project Alert, Pink Pearl Foundation Notes2notes, Maga No Need Pay.
