Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o says Lionel “Messi is the best player in the world ever” even if he was snubbed for FIFA The Best Award.
The Argentine was exempted from the final three of the FIFA awards for the first time.
But 37-years-old Eto’o, who now plays for Qatar SC, his 13 professional team believes his former team-mate doesn’t need to be nominated to be the best.
“Leo, for us, will always be the best player in the world ever,” Eto’o told AS.
“The human beings have to choose and they chose those three players, who have done well this year too.
“But for people like me and others, it doesn’t change the fact that Leo is the best player in the world ever.
The Cameroon all-time top scorer played with Messi for five years at the Camp Nou between 2004-2009.
