Liverpool face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday at Anfield before their premier league showdown at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

There’s been reports that both side would field a weakened team so as to remain fresh for the weekend game.

But Klopp has refute such idea, saying whoever he selects for the game would give everything to it.

“Playing a game at 50 per cent would be a waste of time, it would not make much sense.

“The boys have to prove themselves constantly. The pressure is already there.

“If you don’t perform, it’s difficult to improve your situation. Football players are used to that.

“But the situation of nobody in this team at the moment is bad. They are in a good situation. What you have to be is always 100% concentration, focus, everything. Only be there. Don’t think where it leads to.

“If I see one player with the feeling: ‘Oh, it’s only the League Cup,’ then we could have a real problem.

“But there will be no player like this. I don’t think so, the players don’t think so.

“We don’t put pressure on each player who plays. I really see this opportunity.

“If we make changes then it’s an opportunity, if not then it’s an opportunity anyway. The boys have to prove themselves constantly.”

Liverpool have had a brilliant start to the season, winning all their first seven games in all competitions.

And Klopp feel winning a game regardless of the competition always has a positive effect on the team.

“It’s not only about me, it’s about you all as well, the fans. We have to show we are ready for each competition and each game,” he added.

“We are in a good moment. If they all carry on training like they do, pushing each other and all that stuff then we are in a good moment, then we are ready for more than one competition.

“We actually have two. It’s always two in a week. There are not three competitions in one week.

“We have to play Premier League always and then one of the other competitions, it depends on us how long we will play in them.

“From this perspective, at the moment, I would say we can give our all in two competitions as long as possible. But how long is it possible? I don’t know.”
