Jose Mourinho confirmed Paul Pogba has been relieved of his role as vice-captain of Manchester United after the club’s defeat to Derby in the Carabao Cup.
Reports had sufficed before the match that both Jose and the player were involved in a heated argument at United training ground.
Mourinho afterwards told the midfielder he was no longer fit to captain the team because of his temperament.
Pogba was given the day off alongside Pereira, Valencia and a few others as United put up another below par display at Old Trafford.
At their training base in Carrington today, both men were involved in what looked like another argument.
Although there were no audio to listen to what was said, the expression on both Mourinho and Pogba faces didn’t suggest it was a friendly conversation.
Has the bridge between the player and his manager burnt beyond repair?
