Voting has ended in the keenly contested Osun State Gubernatorial rerun election.
The contest between the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Senator Ademola Adeleke and All Progressive Congress candidate Gboyega Oyetola.
The rerun election has been conducted in four of the cancelled LGAs namely, Orolu, Ife North, Ife South and Oshogbo.
There has been reports of excessive use of force by security agents and a popular journalist Kemi Busari was arrested and later released for taking photographs.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed displeasure with the high handedness of the security agents.
INEC as it maintained that taking photographs at a polling unit is allowed, however, no pictures should be taken at the polling box.
Results are being collated from the different polling units at the moment. We will share those details as they unfold.
