Eight games went down today in Match-day 2 of the UEFA Champions League as teams looked to score points on the board.

Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Olympique Lyon all dropped points as Juventus and Roma ran riot.

Group E

AEK Athens 2 Vs Benfica 3

Benfica got an away win in Greece against AEK Athens.

Haris Seferovic and Alex Grimaldo gave the Portuguese team a two goal lead before Viktor Klonaridis scored a brace to level things up.

Alfa Semedo netted the winner 16 minutes from time to give Benfica all three points.

Bayern Munich 1 Vs Ajax 1

Bayern were held to a 1-1 draw against Ajax at the Allianz Arena.

Mat Hummels netted for the Germans after just 4 minutes but Noussair Mazraoui cancelled things out on 22 minutes.

Hoffenheim 1 Vs Man. City 2

It took a David Silva late strike to help Guardiola’s City record their first UCL win this season.

Ishak Belfodil gave the host’s the lead 1 minute into the game before Sergio Aguero pulled level 6 minutes later.

Lyon 2 Vs Shaktar Donesk 2

In the other game, Lyon and Shaktar played delivered an exciting 2-2 draw in France.

The visitors were on the front foot in the early exchanges and got a goal lead at half-time through Junior Moraes(44′) before he netted his second 11 minutes later.

Lyon bounced back in the second and netted twice in 2 minutes to pick up a point. Moussa Dembele(70′) and Leo Dubois(72′) the goalscorers.

AS Roma 5 Vs Viktoria Pizen 0

Edin Dzeko(3′, 40′, 90′) was on fire as his hat-trick helped Roma beat Viktoria Plzen 5-0 in the italian capital.

Cengiz Under(64′) – first Champions League goal at home- and Justin Kluivert(73′) were the other scorers.

CSKA Moscow 1 Vs Real Madrid 0

CSKA Moscow shocked holders Real Madrid as they held tight to win 1-0 in Russia.

Nikola Vlasic’s goal after 2 minutes proved to be the decider with Igor Akinfeev seeing red in stoppage time.

Juventus 3 Vs Young Boys 0

Juventus made light work of Young Boys, cruising to a 3-0 win over the Swiss team.

Ronaldo was absent through suspension but Paulo Dybala stepped up with a hat-trick for the Old Ladies.

Man. United 0 Vs Valencia 0

Manchester played out another drab goalless draw at home against Valencia in the only game not to register a goal.

The draw against the Spanish side was United’s fourth consecutive game without a win- also the first time a Mourinho has gone four games without a win.
