Ekiti State governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, met Vice President Atiku Abubakar in a closed-door meeting in Abuja.
Details of their meeting are yet to be released as at the time of filing this report.
The meeting has further laid to rest of Fayose ’s threat to dump PDP for another party.
Both prominent politicians met again barely a week after vice president Atiku Abubakar emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate
Fayose in his statement said:
“I am not leaving PDP for any party, I am fully ready to rescue Nigeria with Atiku Abubakar.
“President Buhari should be ready to hand over to the next President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar come 2019. I am Peter the rock.”
With the latest development, Fayose and other PDP chieftain have mutually agreed to work with Atiku come 2019 presidential election.
